ASACP Set to Visit Las Vegas for AEE, Internext Expo
LOS ANGELES (January 8, 2018) — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce its return to the Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) and Internext Expo.
The annual event series begins with the Internext Expo, which runs from January 20-23, followed by AEE, which runs from January 24-27. Both events are being held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.
According to its promoters, Internext Expo meets the growing demands of a changing adult entertainment industry by providing seminars, networking sessions, executive dinners and other opportunities for operators to interact. The B2B-focused Internext Expo is immediately followed by sister events Adult Entertainment Expo and the Adult Novelty Expo, along with the AVN Awards, which are open to the public and attract fans from around the world.
ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning will be in attendance, representing the association and carrying its message forward.
“Reaching consumers and producers of adult entertainment alike, the Adult Entertainment Expo and Internext Expos provide ASACP with an unmatched opportunity to educate stakeholders at every level about online child safety,” Henning says. “These events represent unique opportunities for the association to raise awareness of the many dangers facing today’s digitally connected youth, and the measures that can be taken towards protecting children from exposure to age-restricted materials.”
On Sunday, January 21 at noon, Henning will serve as a panelist in a seminar on “Age Verification: Preparing for the U.K. Law,” which will explore the latest information about the state of age verification on adult sites and offer tips on how to be ready for the U.K.’s upcoming Digital Economy Act.
“The Digital Economy Act is driving age verification forward, and putting online child protection in the spotlight,” Henning says. “This is the perfect opportunity for ASACP to share its experience and expertise in a relevant forum, adding to the value of our show attendance.”
The events’ promoters are providing ASACP with advertisements in the AEE and Internext show guides plus flyers in the shows’ gift bags, along with a table at the Meet Market, and sponsor level banner placement. In addition, the promoters are helping underwrite Henning’s attendance at these shows through complimentary event admission and by covering his hotel stay in Las Vegas.
“AEE and Internext have long provided valuable assistance to the association, for which we are grateful,” Henning concludes. “Without the generous financial and material support our sponsors give us, we could not have achieved — or continue — ASACP’s multi-decade legacy of success.”
This success includes ASACP’s globally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline that has processed more than one million CP reports to-date; its award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta label that helps filter age-restricted materials; along with market-specific Best Practices; and a universal Code of Ethics that guides companies towards child-safe operation.
“ASACP developed the RTA label with the support of our sponsors and is now taking it to the next level with new features and technology,” Henning concludes. “RTA is free and easy for website owners to implement, and makes a difference in the lives of children while allowing parents to access the legal materials of their choice. It is one example of the value we provide to the internet community — users and the producers of content alike.”
